I have been making photographs for most of my life and took my first professional photographs when I was still in high school. I have two undergraduate degrees in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, and two graduate degrees in Educational Media and Business from UMass Amherst.
I have a Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degree from the Professional Photographers of America. I am also a Certified Professional Photographer. I belong to the Professional Photographers of America and the International Panoramic Photographers Association, where I also am a certified panoramic photographer.
I have won many awards and honors including the Regional Medallion Award from The American Society of Photographers, the Photographers Minority Network Award, the PPA Directors award, and the PPA National Award. Most recently I won first prize for my phnaoramic photograph of two dogs at the IAPP conference in Chalon sur Saône, France that were part of an exhibit that was on display in the Chaplelle du Carmel and are now part of the permanent collection of the Musée Nicécphore Niépce. But, more important then my education, awards, and experience, I love animals and it shows in my work.
I am now qualified to make commercial aerial photographs and video from a SUAS commonly known as a drone. I took my test on August 29, 2016, the first day it was offered and I am one of the first Small Unmanned Aerial System Remote Pilots to earn their XII rating under Part 107. I am also approved as a Veterans Owned Small Business.
